MAC 1105 - College Algebra
MAC 1105 -- College Algebra 3 Credit Hours (Offered Fall, Spring, Summer) This is a function-based college algebra course which includes the following topics: functions and functional notation; domains and ranges of functions; graphs of functions and relations; operations on functions; inverse functions; linear, quadratic, and rational functions; absolute value and radical functions; exponential and logarithmic properties, functions, and equations; systems of equations and inequalities; and applications of functions (curve fitting, modeling, optimization, exponential/logarithmic growth and decay). Non-symbolic graphing calculators are required. The TI-83/84 Series is recommended. A minimum grade of "C" is required if used to meet Gordon Rule requirements for general education. Prerequisite(s): completion of MAT 1033A or an equivalent course with a grade of "C" or better or appropriate placement score.
